Get to Know Us!

The Annex is Christian college ministry  in Boulder, Colorado. We are a Registered Student Organization at CU Boulder. We also welcome students that attend different schools and college-aged people (18 to 23 years old). Annex has been the core university ministry of Grace Commons Church, featured in various forms, since 1898. Today, Annex is a thriving community of college students learning how to follow Jesus through worship, community, discipleship and service experiences.  Our community is made of students with varying levels of faith and various Christian/faith backgrounds, which means we have countless opportunities to learn from one another. We believe that all are sought out by Jesus, and we strive to show his deep and unconditional love to those around us.

Dave Pommer (Director) 
Hi, I'm Dave! I'm originally from Seattle and met my wife Erin in LA. We moved to Boulder in 2013 and I've had the honor of helping lead Annex ever since. I love surfing, hanging with my family at our neighborhood pool and great food. I have witnessed God do remarkable things is so many people's lives through Annex and would love for you to consider joining our fam. 

Ava Hyden (Intern)
Hey y'all, I'm Ava! I just recently moved to Boulder from Chattanooga TN, where I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in chemistry with a pre-med focus. I'm a (mostly) retired dancer, huge dog lover, and love doing anything and everything creative. My favorite thing about the Annex is how intentional and fun the community is!

Tyler Curnow (Intern)
​Hey, my name is Tyler! I am originally from Aurora Colorado and graduated from CU Boulder in 2024 with a degree in computer science and a minor in astronomy. Some of my hobbies include stargazing, paintball, and videogames. My favorite thing about Annex is how welcoming and at home it feels.
