]]><![CDATA[Off to Latvia!!]]>Tue, 04 Jun 2019 17:59:58 GMThttps://www.theannexboulder.com/messenger-blog/off-to-latviaI have been training here in Czech for the past 4 days learning about how I’m going to be serving in Latvia. We are learning how we will be teaching English and how we are going to structure camps over all. I leave for Latvia tomorrow morning with a 16 hour drive ahead so hopefully I can sleep on that drive as much as possible!

I am incredibly grateful for this crazy opportunity! I am so excited for this beautiful journey! I’m hoping to see Jesus in new ways, grow deeper in my faith and relationship with Him. I’m looking forward to seeing His works, and seeing His light and love in the people there. I’m excitedly be challenged, and thrown into the deep end. Trusting in His goodness, and I’m finding peace in his love. - Abby

As scary as this whole journey seems right now, I am also so excited for the next 6 weeks! This entire experience is so unique and a once in a lifetime kind of thing. I can’t wait to see and spend time in another part of the world and really step out of my comfort zone. I am already looking forward to how much I’m going to strengthen my relationship with God and grow in my faith while in Puerto Rico. -Ali

]]><![CDATA[Off to Mozambique!!]]>Thu, 23 May 2019 06:00:00 GMThttps://www.theannexboulder.com/messenger-blog/off-to-mozambiqueI just spent the last two days in training in Fort Wayne, IN with my team and have quite the day of travel ahead of me! One 15 hour flight to Dubai, then an 8 hour flight to South Africa AND THEN finally we'll get to Mozambique!

And...I'M SO EXCITED FOR MOZAMBIQUE! We’ve been training for the past 3 days talking about what to expect culturally and tips for living with our host families. My team is small but I really like them and I think it will give us the opportunity to get even closer! I can’t wait to begin this journey because honestly I don’t really know what’s going to happen but I do know it’s going to be incredible!
